SCAM ALERT:
The Abingdon Police Department has been notified
about a scammer calling people and telling them they are partnering with the
Town of Abingdon to install FREE security systems. The phone number of the
scammer is a local number- 276-608-1488. This is a VOIP call most likely originating from outside of
the country. Be advised that this is a SCAM and we
NEVER partner with other organizations or businesses for services. Please notify your family, friends, and
neighbors about this scam so that no one falls victim to these predators.
