Abingdon Police Department
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
On Thursday, March 25, 2021, at approximately 2:47 pm, Abingdon Police were dispatched to the 300 block of East Valley Street in reference to a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers discovered Deena Randolph, 51, of Abingdon, VA, had struck a male pedestrian with her black Isuzu Rodeo while he was in a crosswalk located at Abingdon Internal Medicine. The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Johnston Memorial Hospital.
The Abingdon Police Department, Abingdon Fire Department, and the Washington County, VA Life Saving Crew all responded to the incident. At this time, charges are pending and the incident is still under investigation.
