Update on COVID-19 Incident at Town Hall

Update on COVID-19 Incident at Town Hall

The Town of Abingdon has learned that an individual who tested positive for COVID-19 was recently at Town Hall. After an investigation and consultation with the Mount Rogers Health District, it has been determined that one Town employee may have been exposed. This employee will be quarantined for 14 days from the contact date. As a precautionary measure, the Town has scheduled a cleaning of Town Hall on Monday, June 8, 2020, which is why the facility will be closed on that day. We will provide further updates if necessary.
