Peeping Tom Charged

On Sunday, June 21, 2015, at approximately 11:00PM, Abingdon Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Gilliam Street in reference to a peeping tom. The complainants stated that a white male wearing a white t-shirt was peering in the windows of their home.  The complainants stated that when the suspect was spotted, he ran from the yard.

Officers were able to identify the suspect as Robert G. Neal, 40, of 848 Gilliam Street, Abingdon, Virginia. Neal was charged with Peeping or spying into dwelling or enclosure, in violation of § 18.2-130 of the Code of Virginia. Neal was transported to the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail without incident where he is being held on a $5000.00 secured bond.
