The annual “Call to Arms” Celebration will take place at the Abingdon Muster Grounds (702 Colonial Road, Abingdon) September 18-20, 2019. The celebration is from 9:00AM-2:00PM each day. Please be alert for heavy pedestrian traffic, slow moving vehicles, and additional school buses in the 700 block of Colonial Road.
In conjunction with this event, re-enactors will be firing flintlock rifles approximately every 15 minutes. Do not call 9-1-1 to report hearing shots fired during event hours if you hear shots in this neighborhood.
Slow your speed and be prepared for the sounds of shots being fired as a part of this event.
